WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM HIM?
I’m sorry, but I have to say this. Think what you will, and I may lose every last one of my followers, but I don’t give a damn. Honestly, what DO you want from Davey? What will make you happy with him again? What is the difference between these three pictures? His clothes. His hair. Not his passion. Not his voice. Not his love for us.

Who are you to tell him how to dress? Some of you whined and moaned when they moved from East Bay Hardcore to the Art of Drowning, from Black Sails to Sing the Sorrow, and now again from Decemberunderground to Crash Love and now the malignancy is spreading to Blaqk Audio. We’re poisioning ourselves. If you hate AFI now, then leave. Leave us. Sell your things, move on. If you hate Blaqk Audio, why follow? If you hate Davey’s tweets, why follow? If you hate him now, he lost his appeal, and you feel like he’s no good, then leave. Walk away. Some of us still believe in him. I believe in him.

Why do you think Meet and Greets stopped? Why do you think the Despair Faction is dead? Why do you think we fight amongst ourselves and cannot find agreement? Why do you think AFI doesn’t log into their own boards anymore? Not because they hate us. Not because they don’t love us. Not because AFI is disintigrating. Not because they’ve forgotten us. Because we have hurt them. They created us a sanctuary and we desecrated it. We tore it down. Now fans think they’re better than others, the different eras fight, this person thinks they’re better than another.
True fans would realize that as long as that fire inside still burns, as long as we’re there for the same reason, for the same love, it shouldn’t matter. AFI has always spoke on how they were elated that different people from different backgrounds and genres found solace in AFI’s music over the years. Why should the fans be tearing each other down for something the men we follow so lovingly accept so willingly and lovingly?

I am just about fucking sick of all this. What happened to Through our Bleeding, We are One?
What happened to the Despair Factor? What happened to the fire inside? Being a fan isn’t about how many shows you’ve seen. How many tattoos you have. How many vinyls you have. How many times you’ve met them. How many years you’ve been a fan. It’s about the fire. it burns.
Grow up. Honestly. If you love them, keep loving. If you don’t and just want to look good, then get the fuck out of here. The fire burns in me. Stop trying to be the most popular. Stop tweeting Davey just to get his attention and look good. Don’t proclaim your affection, adoration and love for him, then come here on Tumblr and make fun of him. Stop hacking accounts. Stop acting like you’re the shit. Because you, those of you who try to say you’re better than all of us, those that made the Despair Faction elite, you’re the one that desecrated our sanctuary. What happened to that undying respect for these men? Never in a million years, would I fathom speaking of Davey the way so many do today. or Hunter. or Adam. or Jade. AFI is FOUR men. Not one. Not two. Davey is Davey. Davey and Jade is Blaqk Audio. Davey, Hunter, Adam, and Jade are AFI. Davey is not AFI. Jade is not AFI.
If you find the new albums suck, then find solace in the old. I am a fan of TEN YEARS. I came in during the Art of Drowning. I am an OLD FAN that COULD call myself one of the elite. Yet, I’m not. We’re all equal, no matter the time of the inception of us and fire. Get over yourselves. Honestly. Get the fuck over yourselves.
And better yet, think I’m crazy? Think I’m rude? Tweet this to any of AFI’s members. I’m not ashamed of what I just said. In fact, I’m damn proud I finally said this.

This. Because if there is any fanbase I hate to be a part of it’s this one. Because I want to feel like a part of a family, and hell yes I have those I’m close to, but I often feel like I’m in a rabid pile of shallow useless people. If you love them than great, ACCEPT THEM. Everything they were, are and will be. They are human beings above all else and they deserve the same right to do what they want and be who they want to be that we do. And  if you can’t respect that, can’t treat them like Stranger A off the street who smiled once and made your day, then leave them alone, appreciate from a distance. They are doing what they love, and maybe it’s helped you but, they are human and deserve those same basic human rights. As for the music, if you don’t like it, don’t listen to it and don’t bitch. Because that song you hate so much may have very well saved someone’s life.
